Understanding the process
Filing a workers’ compensation claim in West Virginia can be confusing and frustrating to injured individuals and their families. We have developed this page as a means to introduce people to the process and let them know what to expect.

Filling out these forms correctly is crucial to filing a successful claim.
File your claim on time and in order with the proper claims Administrator. At this point, you must wait to find out whether your claim is approved or denied.
Do not get discouraged if you do have to appeal, and yes, you have the right to appeal a denial. Many people successfully claim their entitled benefits on their second and even third attempt.
